1967 5C SMS SP68 Deep Cameo PCGS. The Special Mint Sets from
1965 to 1967 were not considered proof issues but were not released
into circulation, either. The carefully prepared issues usually
came in higher grades, but those in Deep Cameo become challenging.
This remarkable Superb Gem is tied as the finest at PCGS with only
four other nickels at SP68 Deep Cameo (3/26). Rich, frosty design
elements generate tremendous contrast against the immensely deep
fields. Only a couple of pinpoint imperfections deny a loftier
