Description

1967 Kennedy Half Dollar, SP68 Deep Cameo
Special Mint Set Specimen

1967 50C SMS SP68 Deep Cameo PCGS. The Mint issued Special Mint Sets from 1965 through 1968 in lieu of proof sets. The half dollars were struck on 40% silver-clad planchets, like their regular-issue counterparts. This magnificent SP68 example offers sharply detailed, frosty design elements that contrast dramatically with the deeply mirrored fields. The brilliant surfaces are impeccably preserved and eye appeal is off-the-charts. Population: 12 in 68 Deep Cameo, 0 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N491)
