Description
(1913) Panama Canal Completion So-Called Dollar. HK-398. Copper, 24 mm. The "Prosperity to All Nations" obverse design, with commemorative text on reverse. Serial number 457 stamped at lower reverse. A popular and scarce so-called dollar that appeals to collectors with naval interests. Comes with original J.F. Newman display case, a rarity. Both the top of the case and the edge of the piece show the inked code 1925.882, suggesting that this is a de-accessioned item once property of a museum.Auction Info
