HK-230A Columbus Bust Dollar, MS63 NGC
1892 Columbus Bust Dollar, MS63 NGC. Eglit-387, HK-230A. White metal, 38 mm. The new Hibler-Kappen reference (2008) indicates that between 21 to 75 examples of this so-called dollar are believed to exist in all grades. Although not noted on the NGC insert, this piece displays semiprooflike fields with frosted devices. A few dark toning spots and a small scratch extending from F in OF through CA of AMERICA on the reverse are noted for the sake of accuracy.Auction Info
