Description
Interesting 1900 Lesher Dollar
Z-3, HK-789, MS62
1900 Lesher Dollar MS62 NGC. Z-3, HK-789, R.5. A.B. Bumstead
No. 613. Joseph Lesher advocated the free coinage of silver, and
issued these large silver "souvenirs" to make his point. Lesher
issued these specimens in his home town of Victor, Colorado, and
advertised that he would redeem them at $1.25 in U.S. money. The
present specimen is sharply struck, showing intricate detail on all
design elements. Attractive blue and gray toning enhances the
surfaces.
