1902 Fort Sumter Dollar--Improperly Cleaned--NCS. AU Details. HK-292, R.6. Issued for the South Carolina Inter-State and West Indian Exposition. The obverse depicts a palm or palmetto tree as part of a plantation scene, with the name of the exposition around. The reverse depicts Fort Sumter within a wreath, with CHARLESTON above, SOUTH CAROLINA below, 1901 left, and 1902 right. Bright silver surfaces with peripheral steel-blue toning around.
