Description
1905 Washington State Building, HK-334, MS63 NGC. Brass, 38.1 mm, actually HK-334 although misattributed as HK-332 on the encapsulation, "rare." While the HK-332 and 332a depict the U.S. Government Building, the HK-334 depicts the Washington State Building, and the legend above identifies it as such; interestingly, the I's in "Building" are far taller than the other letters. Although the edge is not visible in the slab, it is likely reeded, per Hibler-Kappen. Not only is this the single finest certified at NGC, it is the only example certified in any grade at that service. Census: 1 in 63, 0 finer (8/07).Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 661050)
