Description
1933 Pedley-Ryan So-Called Dollar. HK-825. Silver. 38 mm, 27.1 gm. A high grade survivor of this popular issue, of which less than 200 are believed to have survived from the original mintage of 500 pieces. The side with PEDLEY-RYAN & CO / DENVER is particularly nice thanks to a raised edge on the planchet, which has protected the surfaces from abrasions. Doubling on the legends--as commonly found on HK-825--is visible on both the obverse and the reverse. The next owner should exercise basic conservation measures for this Select Uncirculated piece, as a light coating of PVC film is observed on both sides.Auction Info
