1961 Pony Express Termination, HK-588, MS64 NGC. Silver, 33.3 mm. Roy J. Olsen designed this medal, which commemorates the 18 short months that the Pony Express operated. Hibler-Kappen (1963) considered this issue to be "very scarce." The current lot is a respectable representative, having decent luster and no mentionable flaws.
