1916 Standing Liberty Quarter, AU Details
Introductory-Year Key
1916 25C -- Artificial Toning, Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU.
The surfaces show evidence and having been cleaned and retoned in
deep violet, green, and blue patina. However, design detail is far
better than collectors might otherwise get for the same price as a
problem-free example in a lower grade. Softness is limited to
Liberty's head and shield. The date is crisp, and the feathers are
well-defined.
