Description
1916 Standing Liberty Quarter, Fine 15
Exceptional Original Surfaces
1916 25C Fine 15 NGC. Middle- and low-grade circulated
examples of the 1916 Standing Liberty quarter are much more
plentiful than higher-end pieces, although the eye appeal of such
coins greatly varies, and most are unattractive. Significant
numbers of low-grade pieces have also been cleaned and recolored,
despite residing in numerically designated holders. All of these
concerns dissolve with the current coin. Original two-toned
surfaces yield deep olive-gray and lighter slate hues, with even
wear and sharp rims. The date is worn at the top, but all four
numerals are discernible. The coin is entirely problem
free.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242Y, PCGS# 5704, GSID# 5533)
