Important Uncirculated 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter1916 25C MS61 ANACS. An Uncirculated example of this important regular issue in the Standing Liberty quarter series, whose only close competition in terms of overall rarity is the 1927-S. While lumped in with the early strikings from 1917 as a two-year type coin, the 1916 actually has several minor design differences from the 1917, which technically make it a one-year type. This piece lacks complete striking details, and the granular surfaces display bright mint luster that is overlaid with reddish-golden toning.
