    Description

    1916 Quarter, MS62 Full Head
    Famous Type One Motif

1916 25C MS62 Full Head NGC. The 1916 Standing Liberty quarter is one of the most popular issues of the 20th century, due to its series-low mintage of 52,000 pieces and its controversial design that was modified to the Type Two motif the following year.

The present coin is an attractive MS62 specimen of this sought-after first-year key, with more detail on the shield rivets than is usually seen and enough definition on Liberty's hairline and facial features to qualify for the Full Head designation. The lightly marked surfaces display accents of golden-brown toning with ample mint luster and eye appeal.

Another major house refused the work stating it was too unique for the artist. Heritage saw that as an advantage!
