Description

Important 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar

1916 MS 63 ANACS. A satiny, near-gem example of this incredibly popular date. This example features deep, creamy, mint frost, untoned centers, and golden and steel-blue peripheral toning. The strike is slightly soft on the highest points, as is often typical on a 1916 quarter, but we mention this only for the sake of accuracy, not to impugne the coin. In terms of eye appeal, this piece can compete with any gem. A prize coin for the advanced collector of this series.
