Description
Lustrous, Lightly Toned 1916 Quarter in MS 64 Condition
1916 MS 64 NGC. A sharply defined example of this key 20th century rarity. The shield shows complete rivets and the head of Liberty is almost fully defined. Lacking much of the coarse granularity often seen on quarters from this year, this piece displays bright satin-like mint luster throughout with a rich overlay of rose and lilac patina. Minimally abraded and technically close to a full gem grade.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 242Y, PCGS# 5704, GSID# 5533)
