Description

Classic 1916 Quarter

1916 MS 62. An attractive, lustrous example of this scarce, key date issue in the Standing Liberty quarter series. The obverse is covered with light silver toning tending toward gray on the rims. The reverse is similarly colored, although perhaps a bit darker on the periphery. Liberty has much of her head detail showing, and few marks of any size are visible. This classic definitely has more eye appeal than the stated grade. Excellent mint luster, the surfaces still show their matte-like satiny brilliance.
