1916 Standing Liberty Quarter, VG8
Readable Date
1916 25C VG8 PCGS. The Standing Liberty quarter series is
always one of the most popular series in early 20th century
numismatics, and the 1916 is the key date that most collectors have
difficulty acquiring. This is an accessible VG example with smooth
stone-gray patina that deepens to olive in portions of the margins.
The lower half of the date is clear and readable, while the upper
half fades into the pedestal as usual. Some faint album slide marks
are invisible to the naked eye. A pleasing problem-free collector
coin. Listed among the 100 Greatest U.S. Coins (#44 in the
