Superb Gem 1917 Standing Liberty Quarter
Type Two, Full Head
Among the Finest Certified
1917 25C Type Two MS67 Full Head NGC. Despite the large
mintage, 1917 Type Two Standing Liberty quarters are scarce in Full
Head, Mint State condition. At the Superb Gem level the issue is
quite rare. NGC has certified 10 examples in MS67 Full Head, with
none finer; while PCGS has graded only seven specimens in this
exalted designation, with none finer (12/09). The present coin
displays untoned surfaces with soft satiny luster. Complete detail
shows on the shield and toes, as well as the all-important head of
