Description

1917 Type Two Quarter, MS67 Full Head
Frosty Luster, Among the Finest Certified

1917 25C Type Two MS67 Full Head PCGS Secure. The first-year Type Two Standing Liberty quarter from Philadelphia is a rarity in Superb Gem condition. PCGS lists only two non-Full Head pieces and 16 Full Head coins in this condition. The present example is sharp on Liberty's head but slightly soft on the shield and toes due to die wear. This die wear is also responsible for the frosty, radiant luster than engulfs each side. Daubs of olive, amber, russet, and crimson toning appear around the peripheries, surrounding light golden interiors. No mentionable abrasions are seen. Population: 16 in 67 (3 in 67+) Full Head, 0 finer (6/18).(Registry values: N4719)
