1917-D Type Two Quarter, MS65 Full Head
Dazzling Mint Luster

1917-D 25C Type Two MS65 Full Head NGC. With a mintage of 6.2 million pieces and the first year of the redesigned obverse, it would seem logical that Full Head pieces would be plentiful, but that simply is not the case. NGC has only certified 28 coins in MS65 Full Head, with seven finer (1/10). This brilliant example has exceptional, bright, coruscating mint luster. Just a few tiny marks prevent an even higher grade.(Registry values: N2998)
