Description

Shining 1917-D Type Two Quarter, Gem Full Head

1917-D 25C Type Two MS65 Full Head PCGS. Light golden overtones visit otherwise silver-white surfaces. The Type Two Standing Liberty quarters are infamous for their poor striking quality relative to the Type One coins, yet this piece has substantially above-average definition on both head and shield. A few tiny marks are of little concern. PCGS has graded 17 finer Full Head pieces (8/09).(Registry values: N2998)
