Description

1917-S Type Two Quarter, MS66 Full Head
Boldly Defined for the Issue

1917-S 25C Type Two MS66 Full Head PCGS. The 1917-S Type Two coin is the most elusive Standing Liberty quarter of this date with Full Head detail. Examples are rare in MS66 Full Head, with only a couple handfuls of coins finer. This satiny Premium Gem displays warm golden toning with bold definition throughout the head, shield, and date. The leading edge of the eagle's left (facing) wing is also well defined, as well as the right-hand reverse stars. A couple tiny ticks on Liberty's leg are only noticeable with a loupe. Population: 26 in 66 (4 in 66+) Full Head, 12 finer (12/23).(Registry values: N4719)
