Description
Gem 1918/7-S Standing Liberty Quarter Rarity
1918/7-S 25C MS 65 NGC. FS-008.5. The small die chip above the pedestal to the left of the lowest star on the right confirms the originality of this popular and rare overdate variety. This coin is an example of a late die state. With a loupe, one can discern fascinating clashmarks (as struck) about Liberty's knees and lower legs. Both sides are, however, equally free of post-production distractions. The untoned surfaces are richly frosted and ice-white in appearance. All but unknown with a complete strike, this just-miss example displays at least 90% definition on Liberty's head. A premium quality coin for both the grade as well as the issue, we wholeheartedly endorse this coin among advanced Standing Liberty quarter collectors.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 243A, PCGS# 5726, GSID# 5571)
