Description
1918-S 25C MS65 PCGS Secure. This frosty Gem nearly qualifies for a Full Head designation, and the date area is sharp. Typical of the 1918-S, however, the central portion of each side shows considerable weakness. A loupe reveals microscopic incuse marks in these areas, although such are mostly just characteristics of unstruck planchet surface and not abrasions on the coin. Both sides are frost-white aside from a dash of russet toning along the upper-obverse border.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2439, PCGS# 5724, GSID# 5575)
