Description

1919 Standing Liberty Quarter, MS67 Full Head
Only Two Finer at PCGS

1919 25C MS67 Full Head PCGS. While two subtypes of the Standing Liberty design are known to most collectors, there are actually two variants of the Type Two design, identified in the Guide Book as the Pedestal Date of 1917 to 1924, and the Recessed Date of 1925 to 1930. The 1917 Type Two and 1919 quarters are the most plentiful of the Pedestal Date type with Full Head details.

Approximately one-third of the 1,600 1919 Standing Liberty quarters submitted to PCGS have received the Full Head designation, and just 24 of those pieces are graded MS67 Full Head or finer. Hints of olive-gold toning appear on the frosty and fully brilliant surfaces of this boldly detailed Superb Gem that exhibits full head details and a complete shield. Population: 22 in 67 (1 in 67+) Full Head, 2 finer (6/14).(Registry values: N2998)
