Description

1919 Quarter, Glistening MS67
Bold Strike, Near-Full Head Detail

1919 25C MS67 NGC. CAC. Here is a fresh-to-the-market Superb Gem 1919 quarter with vibrant, frosty luster and brilliant surfaces. The 1919 is among the more plentiful pre-1925 Type Two Standing Liberty issues in MS67, although such coins are nonetheless elusive. The present coin shows the sharp shield rivets, stars, and eagle's feathers that are often seen on the 1919, and the date is bold; Liberty's head shows a touch of weakness at the temple that precludes a Full Head designation. Census: 18 in 67 (1 in 67 ), 2 finer. CAC: 8 in 67, 2 finer (4/16).
