    Description

    Near-Gem 1919-D Quarter
    Lustrous and Evenly Toned

1919-D 25C MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1919-D Standing Liberty quarter is a strike rarity in the series, one almost never found with Full Head details and usually found with weak or missing shield rivets and interesting die cracks through the date. This piece shows a fairly flat head on Liberty, but only a couple of rivets are missing. There is a rather severe die crack through the top of the date, crossing all four digits and extending to the corners of the pedestal, and the date itself is a tad weak. Nonetheless, plenty of eye appeal remains, and the reverse strike is sharper than expected. Frosty silver luster liberally coats both sides, and there are few relevant marks for the assigned grade.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 243C, PCGS# 5730)
