Description
1919-D Quarter, MS65 Full Head
Old Green Label Holder
1919-D 25C MS65 Full Head PCGS. Satiny luster is largely
brilliant on this Gem Full Head example, save for tinges of
amber-gold around the outer borders. No die lapping or clashing is
seen, and the surfaces are even devoid of bothersome metal
flowlines in the margins. A heavy radial die crack from the rim
into the eagle's right (facing) wing tip on the reverse is the only
notable evidence of die erosion. Detail is sharp on Liberty's head
and the date, and the shield exhibits nearly complete definition.
The 1919-S is a significant condition rarity in this grade, and
only a handful of higher-grade Full Head pieces are known. Housed
in an old green label holder. Population: 12 in 65 (2 in 65+) Full
Head, 8 finer (11/21).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 243C, PCGS# 5731, Greysheet# 5578)
