Description

1919-D Quarter, Exceptional MS65
Stunning Satiny Luster; CAC Approved

1919-D 25C MS65 PCGS. CAC. A Gem example of this important semikey, showing a trace of iridescence across otherwise brilliant, frosty surfaces. Close study with a loupe fails to reveal a single mentionable imperfection, such that one could wonder how this piece missed a Premium Gem designation. The CAC endorsement is well-earned at the least. The strike is typical for the 1919-D -- weak on Liberty's head, the shield rivets, and the leading edge of the eagle's left (facing) wing. The date numerals are flat but clear. PCGS Population: 62 in 65 (4 in 65+), 52 finer (2/26). CAC: 16 in 65, 12 finer (2/26).
