Description

1920-D Quarter, MS64 Full Head
Early Die State, Sharp Overall

1920-D 25C MS64 Full Head PCGS. Struck from relatively fresh dies that show no clashing or lapping, and only satiny, softly luminous luster. Each side is essentially brilliant. Liberty's head boasts a full strike, and the shield rivets are nearly as well defined. The upper portion of the date numerals is the only notable softness. Even the leading edge of the eagle's left (facing) wing is bold. The 1920-D is a scarce date in Full Head, and this piece is a delight in many respects. PCGS Population: 49 in 64 (2 in 64+), 63 finer (11/25).(Registry values: N2998)
