Description

1920-D Quarter Dollar, MS66
Old Green Holder, Green CAC

1920-D 25C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Among Denver issues in the Standing Liberty quarter series, the 1920-D is one of the more elusive in high grade. This Premium Gem example is scarce, and it is a rarity in this grade with CAC endorsement. While the area of Liberty's ear is incomplete, the temple is sharp, and strong definition also visits the date, the eagle's wings, and the stars. The shield rivets are predictably soft, although better defined than often seen. A hint of light golden color warms each side, and the coin is remarkably devoid of contact marks, even for the strong MS66 grade. CAC endorsement affirms the high quality for the grade. Housed in an old green label holder. Population: 45 in 66 (6 in 66+), 4 finer. CAC: 5 in 66, 2 finer (9/24).(Registry values: N1793)
