Description

1920-D Quarter, Frosty MS67
Tied for Finest Non-Full Head

1920-D 25C MS67 PCGS. The 1920-D is one of the most underrated dates in the Standing Liberty quarter series. It is not considered a key issue in the absolute sense, and therefore it is often overlooked by nonspecialists who focus on the more traditional rarities such as the 1916, 1923-S, and 1927-S. The 1920-D, however, is a condition rarity in Premium Gem or finer condition, and it is inherently difficult to locate well-struck. This Superb Gem representative possesses a wealth of eye appeal, fueled by exceptionally well-preserved ice-blue and champagne surfaces. The strike is far above average, and Liberty's head is just a trifle away from being full. Population: 4 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (11/24).
