Description

1920-S Quarter, MS63 Full Head
Elusive in Full Head Strike Quality

1920-S 25C MS63 Full Head NGC. The 1920-S is a scarce and underrated issue in Full Head grades. This collectible Select example displays shimmering stone-white luster with no major abrasions and only light handling marks. The date is strong and the shield rivets are nearly complete. Liberty's temple is a trifle soft, but the hairline is complete when viewed beneath a loupe. The 1920-S is often one of the most frustrating dates in the series to find with a strike that qualifies for a Full Head designation from the grading services. Census: 15 in 63 Full Head, 45 finer (12/23).(Registry values: N1793)
