Description
Rarely Seen MS66 1920-S Quarter
1920-S 25C MS66 PCGS. Even though more than 6.3 million pieces were struck of the 1920-S it is a very scarce and underrated coin in the series. This is one of the finer examples we have seen recently. It has the usual thick mint frost seen on S-mint quarters and is notably devoid of any distracting abrasions. Light rose and lilac toning overlays each side but does not impede the swirling mint luster. Rarely encountered in such a superior grade. Population: 13 in 66, 0 finer (1/05).(#5738) (Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 243G, PCGS# 5738, GSID# 5583)
