Description

1923 Quarter, MS66+ Full Head
CAC Approved, Stunning Sharpness

1923 25C MS66+ Full Head PCGS. CAC. This piece has the best strike this cataloger has seen on a 1923 in a while. The 1923 has a tendency to be weak on the 1 in the date, as well as on Liberty's temple and the shield rivets. Even most Full Head pieces are weak in these areas, with the 1 in the date being flat on the vast majority of coins. The current coin belies the strike reputation of this issue in every capacity. Liberty's temple is bold, the shield rivets are well defined, and the 1 in the date is as strong as the rest of the numerals. On the reverse, the right-hand border stars and the eagle's left (facing) wing are equally sharp. Brilliant luster and a frosty cartwheel effect complement each side. PCGS Population: 48 in 66 (7 in 66+), 8 finer (3/26).(Registry values: N2998)
