1923-S 25C MS67+ Full Head PCGS. CAC. Ex: Just Having Fun. Is this the finest 1923-S Full Head quarter? Perhaps. There are certainly few rivals. PCGS and NGC combined report only 17 Full Head submissions as fine as MS67, just four of which are Plus designated and six of which are CAC endorsed; none are finer (3/26). We have previously handled an MS67 Full Head coin on 13 occasions, but the current piece is both the first Plus-designated piece we have seen and the first CAC-endorsed coin in this grade we have seen. The Pizza Collection specimen, formerly of the Just Having Fun Collection, is an essential opportunity for the advanced collector assembling a top-tier Registry Set.
Stunning preservation allows frost-like luster to glisten throughout beautifully toned surfaces. Champagne, violet, blue-green, and russet hues are among the colors that paint the margins. Sharp definition on Liberty's head mirrors similar boldness on the eagle's left (facing) wing and the stars, while the shield rivets exhibit the usual softness typical of the 1923-S. Eye appeal is outstanding. PCGS Population: 11 in 67 (3 in 67+), 0 finer (3/26). CAC: 6 in 67, 0 finer (3/26).
