Description
1924 Quarter, MS67 Full Head
None Numerically Finer at PCGS
Top-Tier Registry Contender
1924 25C MS67 Full Head PCGS. Brilliant, untoned
white-silver surfaces are loaded with tremendous satiny luster,
providing stunning eye appeal that is further aided by some
orange-peeling for texture. Beyond just a Full Head, the strike as
a whole is near-full, with the critical shield rivets displaying
full and sharp definition. Only some small indistinct regions on
the eagle's breast could prevent the designation.A total of 10.92 million quarters were minted in 1924. However, as with many issues of pre-1925 Standing Liberty quarters, circulated examples are deceptively scarce, as the raised dates wore off of many survivors, preventing identification. On the other end of the grade distribution from those circulated examples is this Superb Gem, which is bested by a mere three Plus-graded certifications at PCGS (3/26).(Registry values: N2998)
