Description

1925 Quarter, Sharp MS66 Full Head
Intense, Frosty Mint Bloom

1925 25C MS66 Full Head PCGS. CAC. Thick, frosty mint luster shines through iridescent ice-blue and pale champagne toning on each side of this Premium Gem Full Head 1925 quarter. The strike quality is superb for the issue, including complete shield rivets, a sharp Full Head, and crisp feather detail on the eagle's breast and wings. A lack of discernable surface flaws further heightens the immense visual appeal.

Population Data (4/15): PCGS shows 63 Full Head submissions in MS66 (one MS66+) and nine finer. NGC reports 39 examples in MS66 Full Head (one MS66+) and 14 finer.

Heritage Commentary: The 1925 Standing Liberty quarter is occasionally seen with Full Head detail, but pieces that are sharp in the central regions are much more difficult to locate than generally realized. The Full Head population declines significantly in MS66, and finer pieces are rarely encountered. Finding a Premium Gem or finer piece with a Full Head and above-average central definition will require much patience. This piece will be one lucky collector's reward.
