Description

1927-D 25C MS66 Full Head PCGS. The 1927-D is one of the tougher dates to acquire nice for the grade, though collectors have a better chance of being happy with an example at the upper grade levels. The current MS66 Full Head piece displays blatantly original luster with a subtle champagne hue across otherwise silver color. A loupe reveals a few minor marks in the reverse fields and obverse devices, but overall the coin is well preserved. The satiny, mild luminance of the luster is normal for the date. Liberty's head is sharp, while her toes show the usual weakness found on Full Head examples. PCGS Population: 30 in 66 (7 in 66+), 1 finer (3/26).(Registry values: N2998)
