Marvelous MS67 1927-S Quarter
1927-S 25C MS67 PCGS. Despite having the second-lowest mintage for the series at 396,000 pieces, the 1927-S quarter commands only a modest premium in most circulated grades. At XF and higher levels, however, the 1927-S establishes itself as conditionally elusive, and Mint State survivors are particularly prized. This Superb Gem is a coin of outstanding beauty, with impressively lustrous surfaces that are light silver-gray in the centers and reddish-orange at the margins. Each side is carefully preserved. The only concern is the strike, soft as usual at Liberty's head and shield, though the overall eye appeal is redeeming.
