Description
Choice BU 1927-S Quarter
1927-S MS 64 PCGS. The 1927-S is the rarest regular issue coin in the series of Standing Liberty quarters as the condition exceeds XF. Only 396,000 pieces were struck with most survivors low grade. Not completely struck up in all areas, the two most conspicuous areas of bluntness are on the lower rivets of the shield and across some of Liberty's head. The surfaces shimmer with scintillating mint luster and are generally brilliant, with only a hint of color evident on each side.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 243W, PCGS# 5764, GSID# 5597)
