Description
Key 1927-S Quarter Dollar in Mint Condition
1927-S MS 63 PCGS. Untoned satin surfaces grace this key date Standing Liberty quarter with a delivery of only 396,000 pieces. The head displays trivial weakness and at quick glance seems to warrant a Full Head designation. The balance of the detail is also above average although we note slight striking softness on the inner shield and eagle's breast. The untoned surfaces display several abrasions, including a sizeable one on Liberty's head, that accounts for the grade. Nonetheless, an important Mint State example of an issue that raises eyebrows even in the median circulated grades.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 243W, PCGS# 5764, GSID# 5597)
