Description

1928 Quarter, MS67 Full Head
Beautiful Top-Tier Registry Coin

1928 25C MS67 Full Head PCGS. The 1928 is among the most challenging late-series Type Two Standing Liberty quarters in high grade Full Head. PCGS and NGC each report only 10 coins in MS67 Full Head (including a total of three MS67+ and two MS67? coins), with none finer. Any Superb Gem Full Head piece for this issue is a Registry-worthy specimen.
The current coin is fresh in our auctions. Frosty, pristine luster complements an early die state with no obvious lapping or clashing. Liberty's head is bold, and the small inner shield lines are clearly delineated, with the shield rivets nearly full. On the reverse, the leading edge of the eagle's left (facing) wing is bold. Mostly brilliant with a touch of golden-olive toning over the left obverse and reverse margins. No mentionable abrasions are evident. PCGS Population: 10 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (3/26).(Registry values: N2998)
