1928-D 25C MS67 NGC. The 1928-D is only marginally scarce in MS66, but it becomes a major rarity at the MS67 grade level. Nonetheless, coins in this condition are often overlooked due to a greater focus on the rarer Full Head pieces, which are often sought for Registry Sets. Non-Full Head coins in MS67 are underappreciated. This example is vibrantly lustrous and untoned, showing the usual touch of strike weakness on Liberty's head and the shield rivets.
