Marvelous MS67 Full Head 1928-S Small Mintmark Quarter

1928-S 25C MS67 Full Head NGC. CAC. Small S mintmark. The small mintmark variety is "three to five times rarer than the large mintmark", according to Cline. This is a marvelous Superb Gem example that seems to be virtually as struck, and free of even the most minuscule surface disturbance. It is brilliant and boldly struck on Liberty's head, with just a bit of typical weakness on two or three shield rivets. Wispy die cracks occur near the mintmark and the obverse periphery, and across the top of the eagle's left (facing) wing.
