Description

1928-S Quarter, MS67 Full Head
Registry-Grade CAC Rarity

1928-S 25C MS67 Full Head PCGS. CAC. Large S. While the 1928-S is among the more plentiful San Francisco issues in Full Head, such coins are rarities at the lofty MS67 Full Head level, with none numerically finer at PCGS (2/26). The present coin is an elite example with CAC endorsement and impressively frosted luster. Liberty's head exhibits full definition, and the shield lines and rivets are above average in that regard. On the reverse, the right-hand border stars are sharp. Some light die lapping and field striations appear on the obverse as usual. Two tiny ticks on Liberty's left (facing) arm are all that deny consideration of an even finer grade. PCGS Population: 33 in 67 (7 in 67+), 0 finer (3/26). CAC: 19 in 67, 0 finer (3/26).(Registry values: N4719)
