1928-S Quarter, MS67 Full Head
Tied for the Finest at PCGS

1928-S 25C MS67 Full Head PCGS. Large S. The 1928-S quarter in MS67 Full Head continues to be scarcer at PCGS than NGC, with none known finer at that service. We have handled an NGC coin on more than 50 occasions since 1993, but the PCGS equivalent has made just 17 previous appearances in our auctions. This representative was crossed over from NGC some years ago. It is brilliant, frosty, and sharp on the head, stars, and eagle. The shield rivets lack definition on the highest point of the shield's border. The reverse die appears fresh, the obverse shows clash marks and die polishing lines in the recesses. Population: 30 in 67 (7 in 67+) Full Head, 0 finer (11/24).
