Description
2009-D 25C District of Columbia, Doubled Die Obverse, FS-801, MS66 PCGS. The ELL in ELLINGTON is widely die doubled clockwise. As with most 21st century doubled die varieties, the pick-up point is at the center of the coin. The hub is convex and first meets the working die at the center. The first impression was slight, then the hub was rotated several degrees and properly entered. As of (6/14), the single finest certified at PCGS.Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 510126, Base PCGS# 406599, Greysheet# 393179)
