Description

Victoria 1/4 Cent 1883, KM7, copper, key date in the series and a great rarity, Fine details "Corrosion" NGC, dark brown to black surfaces, the queen's diademed portrait clearly outlined with considerable detail remaining, and the all-important date sharp and unaffected by the corrosion. In the cataloguer's opinion, the details are those of a VF coin, indicating lots of commercial use; the coin may possibly have been buried. Almost the entire mintage has perished in the intervening 129 years since this was struck.

Metal: Copper
Mintage: 200,000
