Description

Victoria 5 Cents 1879-H, KM10, reeded edge, fairly large mintage but these were heavily used by local merchants, and most have perished or been wasted away down to very circulated pieces, this one a pleasing exception. Choice UNC and a real little beauty with original, dappled silvery gold surfaces (with some blue iridescence) and a sharp strike for the issue. Beautiful high rims. Crisp "H" mintmark for Heaton. We could not predict a certified grade, but a "64" would not jar the eye one bit. Rare so fine!
